ARTIST WRITTEN BIO

Diana Reyes' art defies the conventions of her generation.  By studying under the tutelage of her father, a trained commercial artist from the Philippines, Diana was able to grasp aesthetic concepts from an early age.  She won the ‘Art Award' at both elementary school and high school graduations in her hometown of Markham, Ontario.  She went off to pursue a degree in Art History at McGill University, which ceased after her freshman year.  It was then that Diana decided to pursue a career in the entertainment industry as a hip hop dancer, and did so successfully.  After training in New York City as a House dancer, on which most of her work is inspired, Diana now seeks to utilize her newfound perspectives by expressing them within her works of art.  Thematically, Diana often chooses music and dance, particularly of the underground House music scene.  With only a few pieces to be found online, thousands of people have taken to Diana's artwork.  It is because of this that she began selling prints of her paintings (with the help of her MySpace page and a PayPal account) and has since sold prints all over the United States, Canada and now Europe.  She then turn these transactions into a legal business venture with Creative Juice Enterprises, with which she plans to continue to sell prints and create works of art that are received so readily by her generation.

DANCER WRITTEN BIO

Born and raised in suburban Toronto, Diana Christyn Reyes started taking ‘COMMERCIAL JAZZ' at the age of 13. She brought her skills to the high school stage where she performed solos that ended with standing ovations. Diana also participated in the school fashion shows where she performed as a model, dancer and choreographer. She also contributed to an original school production entitled, “THREE DAYS” in which she choreographed, danced and played a lead role. Through her performances she won the DRAMATIC ARTS AWARD and the acclaim of her peers and mentors. Highly ambitious and determined, Diana started taking classes at Toronto's NATIONAL DANCE OF CANADA where she honed her skills in Hip Hop choreography.

In her later years, an audition for music video director LITTLE X created a snowball effect for Diana, who landed her first video with UK's DANIEL BEDINGFIELD. She continued to book jobs for artists such as TWEET, FABOLOUS, the CLIPSE, the RASCALZ, BLACKSTREET and BENZINO, who's video “Rock the Party” landed her a principal role. Through her work, NDC President, Abbas Jahangiri, recognized Diana's hunger for excellence and allowed her to train intensively in BALLET, JAZZ, TAP and AFRICAN dance. She then received a dancing role in the feature film “HONEY” (UNIVERSAL 2003) Starring JESSICA ALBA. The film was choreographed by LAURIE-ANN GIBSON, also known for her work with MARIO, BRANDY and MARY J. BLIGE. Shortly after, Diana was hired as a principal dancer in the pilot series PLATINUM (UPN 2003) where she danced with MC LYTE. She continued to perform on stage for Motown / Universal recording artist MELANIE DURRANT when she opened for JAY-Z and 50 CENT.

With the desire to enhance her dance skills, Diana relocated to NEW YORK CITY in May 2004. It was there that she received the bulk of her training in HOUSE DANCING - a form of art in which she finds the purest, most sincere way to express herself. While in New York, Diana was fortunate enough to land a contract with BLOCAGENCY, NYC - one of the most noted dance agencies around. She has also been able to work independently for projects like "DARRIN'S DANCE GROOVES PT. 2", and a commercial for the "N-NETWORK" with CIARA.
